Ireland and the UK to the UAE
A planned move. A clean exit.
Martello & Creek Advisory helps founders and business owners in Ireland and the UK relocate to the UAE as part of their long-term wealth planning, with one senior point of contact from the first plan to settled in Dubai.
Who we help
Three kinds of client, one standard of planning
Online entrepreneurs
Founders and operators whose business can genuinely run from anywhere, and who are ready to move.
For entrepreneurs →Global SME owners
Owners of businesses that trade internationally and have a real commercial reason to operate from the UAE.
For SME owners →Larger corporates
A separate feasibility study for companies considering moving some staff to the Middle East.
For corporates →Leaving Ireland or the UK and forming a UAE company does not, by itself, end your tax exposure at home. Where your company is really managed, where your staff and customers are, and whether you keep a home in the old country can all keep tax there. We plan for those points from the start, and we will tell you plainly if the move does not stack up.

Questions
What people ask first
Will moving to Dubai stop me paying tax in Ireland or the UK?
Not automatically. Both countries have their own residence tests, and some liabilities continue for years after you leave. In Ireland, for example, ordinary residence can continue for several tax years after departure. In the UK, gains and some income received while abroad can be taxed if you return within a set period. That is why we plan the exit before anything else.
Can I keep my company in Ireland or the UK?
Sometimes, but it needs care. A company is generally taxed where it is really managed and controlled, so if decisions are still taken at home it may stay taxable there. We look at whether to keep, migrate or replace it, and what each option costs.
Should I set up in a free zone or on the mainland?
It depends on who your customers are and where you trade. Free zones and mainland companies are treated differently for corporate tax and for who you can sell to inside the UAE. We compare both against how your business actually earns money.
Do you work with my existing accountant?
Yes. Coordinating with your accountant is part of the service. They usually know your history best, and a clean exit depends on everyone working from the same plan.
Are you regulated?
Martello & Creek Advisory is an early-stage advisory practice. Where an activity needs a licence, such as company formation, mortgage or property brokerage, or financial advice, we introduce you to licensed partners rather than providing it ourselves.
