Privacy notice
How we handle your information
We ask for as little as we need, keep it secure, and delete it when we no longer need it.
Last updated 7 November 2026.
Who we are
Martello & Creek Advisory is a trading name of Tom de Jongh, who is the controller of your personal data. We are based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with an office in Ireland. You can contact us about privacy through our request form or by replying to any email we have sent you.
What we collect
- When you submit a form: your name, email, optional phone number, and the answers you choose to give. We ask for ranges, not exact figures.
- When we work together: the information needed to deliver the service you have asked for. We will tell you what we need at the time.
- Business contacts: if we contact you about our services, we use business contact details from public or professional sources, such as your company website or professional profile.
Please do not send bank details, identity documents or exact financial figures through our website forms.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To respond to your request and prepare a tailored overview: to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and with your consent given on the form.
- To deliver services to clients: to perform our contract with you, and to meet legal obligations that apply to us.
- To send occasional updates: only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To contact businesses about our services: our legitimate interest in developing our business, always with a simple way to opt out, and only where the law on electronic marketing allows.
We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. Every enquiry is reviewed by a person.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who help us run the business: website hosting (Netlify) and email, document and spreadsheet storage (Google). They process data on our instructions.
- Your accountant and licensed partners, such as company formation providers, banks or brokers, only when you ask us to make an introduction or involve them.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We never sell your information.
International transfers
We operate from the UAE and Ireland, and our service providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement: deleted within 12 months of our last contact.
- Client records: for as long as the law requires after the engagement ends.
- If you ask us not to contact you, we keep a minimal record of that request so we can respect it.
How we protect it
Access is limited to the people who need it, our accounts use two-step verification, and we do not collect exact financial figures through the website.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy in a portable format. You can withdraw consent and opt out of marketing at any time. Contact us through our request form or by replying to any email we have sent you.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (dataprotection.ie), the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK (ico.org.uk), or the relevant authority in the UAE. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
